Job summary

Ford Pro is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the architectural vision and build data-intensive SaaS platforms, services, and frontends. You will guide API services, back-end pipelines, and web interfaces used by customers to manage fleets at scale.

You’ll mentor teams, drive technical strategy, and collaborate with product, design, and business leadership to translate complex needs into scalable designs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12+ years in software engineering with leadership experience.
• Bachelors in CS, CE, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect and drive the technical roadmap for large-scale SaaS apps.
• Mentor engineers and promote technical excellence.
• Partner with product/design/business to shape architecture.
• Plan scoping, estimates, and capacity for multi-quarter initiatives.
• Lead hands-on development of core SaaS components and services.
• Improve engineering standards across teams with new tooling and patterns.
