Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. seeks an Individual Aircraft Certification Engineer to provide in-service airworthiness expertise and manage certification approvals for structural and system repair solutions on in-service aircraft.

The role is based in the Engineering Center in Mobile, Alabama and requires coordinating with global teams and authorities. The candidate will oversee the certification process, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with EASA, FAA, and other regulatory bodies while

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 13 years of aviation industry experience focusing on aircraft engineering and certification.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Ability to mentor within the discipline and interpret technical topics.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the global certification process for deviations or issues prior to delivery.
• Coordinate with Airbus, customer delivery teams, design offices, and authorities for certification documentation.
• Coordinate issuance of iCAW (i.e., FAA 8100-2) certificates with the relevant authority.
• Develop and maintain certification programs and risk matrices.
• Coordinate exemptions or derogations with EASA and local authorities.
