Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Design Engineer to support in‑service repairs for airframes.

You will develop high‑quality repair solutions from a design perspective, collaborating with static stress and fatigue teams to meet airworthiness requirements and customer needs. The role is based on Airbus’ Wichita facility, with responsibilities across major Airbus products and close interaction with airlines/MROs.

Qualifications

AS degree in Engineering Technology with emphasis on structural design.
Eight years of design experience with airframe structures.
Authorized to work in the US.
Proficient in interpreting damage reports and creating repair solutions.

Responsibilities

Create high-quality integrated and certified repair solutions for airlines and internal customers within given time scales.
Review and interpret damage reports of aircraft structures and develop repair solutions.
Create or modify a wide range of repair tasks and technical documents (Dispositions, Drawings).
Collaborate with Static Stress, F&DT, and other Airbus departments to optimize solutions.
Provide guidance to moderate to difficult repair queries and ensure airworthiness.
Ensure tasks are completed within planned time scales and communicate status clearly.
