Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to support the airline in-service fleet on repairs of aircraft structure.

You will create high‑quality repair solutions from a design perspective, collaborating with static stress and fatigue teams to ensure airworthiness and timely delivery. The role requires strong experience with airframe structures, composite repairs, and MRB processes, with extensive CATIA V5/3DExperience skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with aero/civil/mechanical emphasis on structural design.
• Minimum nine years of design experience with airframe structures.
• Experience in composite airframe structures.
• MRO/Fleet Engineering experience; MRB experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently create high quality integrated and certified engineering repair solutions for airlines and internal customers.
• Ensure final repair solution brings the aircraft back to airworthy condition.
• Review and interpret damage reports of aircraft structures and develop repair solutions.
• Collaborate with F&DT, Stress and other Airbus departments to develop optimum design solutions.
