Airbus Americas, Inc. seeks an experienced design engineer to support in-service fleet repairs and airframe structure design. You will craft repair concepts, analyze damage reports, and produce technical documents for repair instructions and drawings using Airbus tools.

Team collaboration across departments and strong problem-solving are essential. Located on the Wichita campus, the role focuses on aerostructure analysis, primary structures like wings and fuselages, and ensuring airworthiness

Qualifikationen

• Associates of Science (AS) Degree in Engineering Technology with emphasis on structural design, mechanics of materials, and/or system design.
• Minimum eight (8) years total experience in design with airframe structures.
• Authorized to Work in the US.

Aufgaben

• Create high quality integrated and certified engineering repair solutions for airlines and internal customers within given time scales.
• Review and interpret damage reports of aircraft structures and develop repair solutions with guidance.
• Create or modify technical documents and drawings within Airbus software tools with high quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Static Stress, F&DT and other Airbus departments to derive optimal solutions.
• Provide responses to repair queries to ensure aircraft returns to airworthy condition.
