Airbus Americas, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to support the airline in-service fleet on repairs of aircraft structure, delivering quality repair solutions from a design perspective in a timely manner.

You will design for metallic and non-metallic parts, collaborate with static stress and fatigue teams, and ensure airworthiness while meeting customer needs across airlines and MROs. A BS in Engineering and 9+ years of relevant experience are required.

Formación

• BS in Engineering (Aero, Civil or Mechanical) required.
• Minimum nine (9) years total design experience with airframe structures.
• Experience with composite airframe structures.
• MRO/Fleet Engineering experience; MRB experience.
• Ability to obtain Repair Approval Technical Signatory.

Responsabilidades

• Independently create high-quality integrated and certified engineering repair solutions for airlines and internal customers within given time scales.
• Review and interpret damage reports of aircraft structures and develop quality repair solutions.
• Collaborate with FDT, Stress and other Airbus departments to develop optimum design solutions for airline customers.
• Apply extensive technical expertise across related disciplines.
• Capable of delivering Repair Solution Signatory effectively.
