Job summary

Get Staffed Online Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting. The HLTA will work alongside teachers to plan, prepare and deliver learning activities, covering PPA and teacher absence to ensure consistent progress for all pupils.

The candidate should have HLTA status or Level 3 TA, experience with SEND/SEMH, and GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above. A supportive team and opportunity for professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Have HLTA status or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or willing to work towards HLTA status).
• Experience with children across the primary curriculum, including pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.
• GCSE grade 4/C or above in English and Mathematics, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging learning activities for whole classes, small groups and individual pupils.
• Cover classes during PPA time and Teacher absence, so that learning stays consistent.
• Provide targeted support and interventions to help pupils become confident, independent learners.
• Monitor, assess, record and report on pupils' progress and development.
• Work with Teachers and SEND team to plan and deliver individual support for pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Support positive behaviour and maintain a calm, inclusive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and carers.
