Job summary

Co-op Academies Trust is seeking a HLTA to support learning pathways within our SEND department, taking responsibility for agreed activities under supervision. You will plan, prepare and deliver learning tasks and monitor student progress, reporting outcomes to teaching staff.

The role requires safeguarding awareness, an enhanced DBS expectation, and a commitment to inclusive education. 37 hours per week, 45.048 weeks per year, permanent, with Start 2 November 2026.

Qualifications

• HLTA role requires safeguarding and SEND knowledge.
• Experience in planning, delivering, and assessing learning activities with under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Complement teachers by planning, preparing and delivering learning activities under supervision.
• Monitor and assess student progress and maintain records of achievement and development.
• Specialist knowledge of complex communication needs is essential.
