Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking a Primary Care Medical Assistant who delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in a value-based practice. In our patient-centered environment, the MA supports patients in the clinic by rooming patients, obtaining medical history, and taking vital signs, while coordinating care beyond visits.

The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and comfortable working at the top of their scope within a collaborative care model.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant or minimum two years’ experience in primary care.
• Experience with team-based care models preferred.
• EMR experience preferred; AthenaHealth ideal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Room patients; obtain and document vital signs, history, and chief complaints.
• Assist providers with in-clinic visits and health assessments.
• Support virtual provider encounters from the clinic setting.
• Document clinical data in the EHR accurately.
• Coordinate preventive and ongoing care via outreach.
• Manage referrals, scheduling, records, and prior authorizations.
