Job summary

Kin Insurance is hiring an entry-level Pricing & Risk Analyst to turn policy, quote, and claims data into practical recommendations. You’ll work with Databricks Genie, Claude Code, and MCP-enabled workflows to explore data, automate recurring tasks, and support state growth and segmentation.

As part of a remote-first company, you’ll learn insurance metrics, pricing, segmentation, and state performance while receiving guidance from experienced colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Foundational SQL skills and Excel proficiency.
• Experience analyzing data to identify patterns and explain findings.
• Hands-on AI experience for analytics or coding tasks; comfortable with Claude Code, Databricks Genie, MCP.
• Ability to explain findings clearly and manage assignments with guidance.

Responsibilities

• Own recurring state performance reporting on quote volume and conversion.
• Analyze performance by geography, risk characteristics, coverage, and channels.
• Evaluate impact of rate changes and underwriting rules on growth.
• Use Claude Code and Databricks Genie to write queries and automate reports.
• Collaborate with MCP connections to integrate data into workflows.
• Validate data and AI outputs; document sources and assumptions.
• Deliver charts and summaries and develop recommendations with the team.
• Measure performance after pricing and product changes go live.
