Kin Insurance seeks a Pricing & Risk Analyst to help identify profitable growth opportunities across states and segments. You’ll transform policy, quote, and claims data into actionable recommendations, collaborating with state managers and business partners.

This entry-level role blends analytics with practical pricing decisions, using Databricks Genie, Claude Code, and MCP-enabled workflows to automate recurring tasks and deliver insightful reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field
• Foundational SQL skills and proficiency with Excel or similar tools
• Experience analyzing data to identify patterns, investigate questions, and explain findings
• Hands-on experience using AI for analytical or coding tasks and willingness to use Claude Code, Databricks Genie, and MCP-enabled workflows
• Ability to explain findings in plain language and manage assignments with guidance
• Internships, coursework, and analytical projects count

Responsibilities

• Own recurring state performance reporting on quote volume, quote-to-bind conversion, new business, premium, retention, and loss experience
• Investigate drivers of changes in results across geography, risk characteristics, coverage, and distribution channels
• Evaluate how proposed rate changes, underwriting rules, and shifts in business mix could affect growth and profitability
• Use Databricks Genie to explore data and Claude Code to write SQL queries and automation scripts
• Deliver clear charts and concise summaries for Pricing and Risk and partner teams
