Job summary

Kin Insurance, a remote-first homeowner insurer, seeks an entry-level Pricing & Risk Analyst to translate policy, quote, and claims data into actionable recommendations. You’ll work with state managers to explore data, automate recurring work, and grow knowledge of insurance metrics, pricing, and segmentation.

Using Databricks Genie and Claude Code, you will build analytical scripts, validate data, and deliver insights that support profitable state growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a quantitative field
• Foundational SQL skills and proficiency with Excel or similar tools
• Experience analyzing data to identify patterns and explain findings
• Hands-on experience using AI for analytics or coding tasks, including Claude Code, Databricks Genie, MCP
• Ability to explain findings clearly and manage assignments with guidance

Responsibilities

• Own state performance reporting on quote volume, quote-to-bind conversion, new business, premium, retention and loss experience
• Analyze performance across geography, risk characteristics, coverage and channels to surface growth opportunities
• Evaluate how rate changes and underwriting rules could affect growth and profitability
• Use Claude Code and Databricks Genie to develop analyses, automate recurring reports, and document findings
• Deliver clear charts and concise summaries for Pricing and Risk and partner teams
