Job summary

HIAB USA is seeking a field service technician to perform preventive maintenance, safety checks, and refurbishment on a range of equipment at assigned Hiab locations, following Manager’s instructions. You will contribute to productive customer relationships and uphold best practices in all activities.

Responsibilities include inspecting forklifts, knuckle boom cranes, loaders, liftgates, hooklifts, skiploaders and hoists; ensuring safety and environmental compliance; staying current with

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card is required
• Valid Driver’s License is required; no more than one moving violation in the last year, or two in two years
• Minimum 3+ years of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical operations
• Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Own tools required
• Understand and comply with Hiab USA, Inc. Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions

Responsibilities

• Inspect and service equipment (forklifts, knuckle boom cranes, loaders, liftgates, hooklifts, skiploaders and hoists) per manager’s instructions
• Follow safety rules, working practices and environmental requirements
• Stay up to date with technical bulletins and complete courses as directed
• Respond to customer queries to maximize satisfaction and follow Hiab guidelines
• Maintain records and daily reports as required
• Communicate sales opportunities to District Service Manager
• Coach junior colleagues and trainees as needed
• Maintain a positive image of the Hiab brand and follow the Quality System rules

Education
