Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand job specifications to determine press set-up materials.
• Knowledge to determine appropriate press usage and adjustments for efficiency.
• Understanding packing pressure for printing quality.
• Ability to use a micrometer to mount and align printing plates.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain single or multi-color offset presses.
• Perform make-ready tasks: hang plates, install cylinders, check plates/cylinders for defects and correct image placement.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality specs; clean and lubricate the press.
• Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.
