Job summary

RRD Company is seeking an experienced Printing and Bindery Specialist to operate and maintain single or multi-color offset presses. You will perform make-ready tasks, adjust color, inspect plates and cylinders for defects, and ensure prints meet exacting quality standards.

The role requires expertise in offset printing, ability to read job specifications, and capability to perform routine maintenance; night shifts running 6:45pm–7:00am are included.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials and safety requirements.
• Ability to read job specs to determine required setup materials.
• Understand press capabilities to optimize job runs.
• Know packing pressure for proper printing pressure.
• Use a micrometer to mount and align printing plates accurately.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Adjust feeder, feed board, and guides for proper operation.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain single or multi-color offset press.
• Perform make-ready tasks such as hanging plates or installing cylinders.
• Examine plates/cylinders for imperfections and check image positioning.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality specs.
