Qualifications

• Understanding press capabilities to determine appropriate use and adjustments.
• Knowledge of packing pressure to obtain proper printing pressure.
• Skill with using a micrometer to mount and align printing plates.
• Experience with routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment.
• Ability to adjust feeder, guides, and head stop timing.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain single or multi-color offset press.
• Perform make-ready tasks such as hanging plates or installing cylinders and check plate/cylinder condition.
• Make color adjustments and press adjustments to meet quality specifications; clean and maintain the press.
• Performs periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer.
