Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking an Assistant Press Operator to support press make ready, operation, and maintenance on sheet-fed or web offset presses. You will help set up plates, adjust components, and maintain ink systems to meet print quality specs.

Role requires attention to safety, basic maintenance skills, and at least 2 years of offset press experience. Rotating schedule, competitive hourly pay, and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow job specifications for press setup materials.
• Follow instructions to operate equipment safely and produce the product.
• Use a micrometer to mount and align printing plates correctly.
• Make adjustments to feeder and feed board and timing components.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs under guidance.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years knowledge of offset presswork procedures and materials.

Responsibilities

• Assist in press make ready, operating, and maintenance.
• Adjust feeders, delivery mechanisms, suction, guides and timing.
• Remove/replace worn rollers and adjust roller pressure.
• Wash blankets and clean ink distribution systems.
• Support color or register corrections prior to production runs.
• Train and mentor new and existing employees.
