Spokane Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator to support students with disabilities in Preschool classrooms. Schedule: 7 hours/day, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM, ASAP start. Benefits include SEBB health coverage for eligible hours and potential vacation/leave days.

The role involves assisting teachers with IEPs, classroom materials, and data collection, plus implementing behavior support and safety procedures in a diverse learning environment.

Qualifications

• Provide instruction in core academic areas designed by teachers/specialists.
• Assist the special education/general education teacher in implementing student IEP accommodations and modifications.
• Assist the teacher with preparing materials and recording data.
• Under supervision, implement district de-escalation techniques as needed.

Responsabilités

• Provide instruction in core academic areas and support with accommodations and data collection as part of the IEP.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement behavioral and social skills programs and safety protocols.
• Assist students with physical and mobility needs and supervise safety in multiple settings.
• Administer, monitor, and document medication following district policy if required.

Formation

High school diploma or equivalent

72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits from an accredited college
