Job summary

Leavenworth USD 453 Leavenworth School District is seeking a Substitute Paraprofessional to support teaching staff in autism and low-incidence classrooms. The role involves assisting students under supervision, flexible scheduling, and minimum four-hour shifts.

Reports to Building Principal, Assistant Principal, or assigned Special Education Teacher. Requires a high school diploma, experience with students, and basic computer skills. Training in ESI and behavior support may be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in curriculum support with students of various ages.
• Successful experience working with special education students.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational, social, communicative support to students with autism in resource and inclusive environments.
• Follow prescribed procedures and intervention plans.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators and other special education service providers/consultants.
• Organize and prepare materials and assist with recordkeeping duties as assigned.
