Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a Technical Consultant (Pre-Sales) within Advanced Data Solutions to drive revenue by positioning data and software analytics solutions. You will lead technical discovery, shape data-driven use cases, and demonstrate how to combine Elsevier data with AI-enabled workflows to deliver trusted insights.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of data-driven analytics workflows including ingestion, enrichment, integration and insight generation.
• Working knowledge of Generative AI and LLM-based solutions (e.g., RAG, prompt design, agentic workflows, evaluation, responsible AI).
• Familiarity with cloud ecosystems and AI tooling (AWS, REST APIs, OAuth, Docker, Python).
• Degree in a science, technology, or data field (Master’s or PhD advantageous) or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery to translate customer challenges into data-driven use cases and architectures.
• Design and deliver tailored demonstrations showcasing discovery, analytics, and AI-powered workflows.
• Support PoCs, technical evaluations, and pilots with clear trade-offs and dependencies.
