Job summary

Elsevier’s Advanced Data Solutions team seeks a Technical Consultant (Pre-Sales) to drive revenue by translating data and software capabilities into trusted, AI-powered analytics and knowledge graphs for enterprise customers. You will lead discovery, shape data-driven use cases, and demonstrate end-to-end solutions with a focus on responsible AI and scalable delivery.

You will collaborate with Sales, Post-Sales, and Product teams, maintain deep product expertise, and deliver tailored

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of data-driven analytics workflows and data integration.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and AI governance.
• Familiarity with cloud ecosystems and API integrations.
• Degree in science/tech/data or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sales solution leadership across discovery, use cases, and architectures.
• Design demonstrations showing discovery, analytics, and AI-powered workflows.
• Prepare proposals, PoCs, and technical evaluations with clear trade-offs.
• Act as trusted technical advisor through the sales cycle.
• Collaborate with Product, Professional Services, and Marketing for alignment.
