Job summary

Elsevier’s Advanced Data Solutions team seeks a Technical Consultant (Pre-Sales) to drive revenue by positioning data, software, and analytics capabilities in enterprise deals. You’ll lead technical discovery, create data-driven use cases, and demonstrate how Elsevier solutions enable trusted insights and AI-enabled workflows.

In this role you’ll collaborate with Sales, post-sales, and Product teams to ensure feasible, scalable solutions aligned with real delivery.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of data-driven analytics workflows.
• Working knowledge of Generative AI and LLM-based solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud ecosystems (AWS) and integration patterns.
• Advanced degree in science/technology/data or equivalent experience.
• Experience in data-intensive enterprise environments.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sales solution leadership and develop expertise in Elsevier’s solutions.
• Lead technical discovery translating objectives into data-driven use cases and architectures.
• Design and deliver tailored demonstrations showcasing analytics, AI-powered workflows, and knowledge graphs.
• Scope and prepare solution proposals, PoCs, and evaluations.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle.
• Stay current with AI developments and advise on responsible AI and data governance.
• Collaborate with Product and Professional Services to ensure feasibility and delivery.
• Capture customer feedback to inform product positioning and go-to-market strategy.
