Elsevier is seeking a Technical Consultant (Pre-Sales) for Advanced Data Solutions to drive revenue through technically grounded demonstrations and tailored use cases. You will partner with Sales, shape data-driven stories, and articulate how Elsevier’s datasets, APIs, MCP servers, and AI agents deliver trusted analytics.

Qualifications

• Have deep understanding of data-driven analytics workflows including ingestion, enrichment, integration and insight generation.
• Working knowledge of Generative AI and LLM-based solutions (RAG, prompts, agent workflows) and knowledge graphs applied to analytics.
• Familiarity with cloud ecosystems (AWS, REST APIs) and AI platforms, tooling, and integration patterns.
• Degree in science/technology/data or equivalent practical experience; Master’s/PhD advantageous.
• Experience in enterprise data environments with willingness to learn scientific domains.
• Ability to translate data/software into actionable business outcomes; strong presentation skills.
• Experience delivering technical demonstrations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sales with solution leadership across data, APIs, AI agents, and knowledge graphs.
• Design and deliver tailored demonstrations showcasing analytics, AI-enabled workflows, and knowledge graphs.
• Scope proposals, support PoCs, and articulate trade-offs across data, software and services.
• Act as trusted technical advisor through the sales cycle; influence account strategy.
• Stay updated with AI developments and apply them to pre-sales activities.
