Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Presales Engineer to manage presale opportunities and implement complex projects within the public safety-focused solutions group. You will define requirements, support bids, and ensure delivery across nationwide customers.

You will collaborate with Sales, engineering, and product teams, travel up to 25%, and bring expertise in LMR, LTE, and IP networking to craft end-to-end solutions for first responders and enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of sales, sales engineering, public safety experience.
• OR 8+ years of sales, sales engineering, public safety experience.
• Land Mobile Radio (LMR) experience highly preferred.
• Strong written and oral communications with the ability to present complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of wireless communications fundamentals and IP networking is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with the Sales Team to deliver customer-driven, end-to-end solutions across diverse customers nationwide.
• Defines directions and requirements to ensure timely implementation and quality of the technical solutions.
• Provide engineering services for Customers, including commissioning and testing Motorola equipment per requirements and contracts.
• Preparation of system bids and modifications in conjunction with product group.
• Collaborate with operations and external developers to meet delivery requirements and deadlines.
