Job summary

The One Group in Denver is seeking a Prep Cook to join our kitchen team and ensure ingredients are prepped, organized, and ready for service. You will support the culinary team by preparing fresh ingredients, following recipes precisely, and maintaining high food safety standards for the signature menu.

Ideal candidates bring experience as a prep cook or kitchen assistant in busy settings, strong knife skills, and a proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while upholding quality

Qualifications

• Experience as a Prep Cook or similar in a high-volume kitchen.
• Strong knife skills and basic culinary techniques.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients, proteins, sauces, and garnishes according to recipes.
• Wash, peel, chop, and cut vegetables, fruits, and herbs for use in dishes.
• Assist with butchering meat, filleting fish, and handling proteins as needed.
• Maintain proper storage, labeling, and rotation of all food products.
• Ensure prep station is stocked, clean, and organized.
• Work closely with chefs and line cooks to ensure smooth kitchen flow.
• Follow recipe guidelines and portion controls for consistency.
• Assist in daily mise en place and ensure prep is completed before service.
• Maintain sanitation standards and health regulations.
• Execute tasks assigned by Chefs and Kitchen Leadership with professionalism.
