Qualifications

• Previous prep cook/kitchen helper experience in high-volume kitchens.
• Strong knife skills and basic culinary techniques.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Team player with a proactive work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients, proteins, sauces, and garnishes per recipes.
• Wash, peel, chop, and cut vegetables, fruits, and herbs.
• Assist with butchering meat, filleting fish, and handling proteins as needed.
• Maintain storage, labeling, and rotation to prevent waste.
• Keep prep station stocked, clean, and organized.
• Collaborate with chefs and line cooks for smooth kitchen flow.
• Follow recipe guidelines and portion controls for consistency.
• Contribute to daily mise en place before service.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation per health regs.
• Execute tasks with professionalism and enthusiasm.
