Job summary

The One Group is seeking a Prep Cook to support our culinary team in a high-volume kitchen. You will prep, organize, and stage ingredients, ensuring recipes are followed with precision and safety standards are met for our signature menu.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Prep Cook or Kitchen Assistant in a high-volume kitchen.
• Strong knife skills and basic culinary techniques.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety.
• Willingness to support BOH team and contribute to kitchen success.
• Must stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients, proteins, sauces, and garnishes according to recipes and specifications
• Wash, peel, chop, and cut vegetables, fruits, and herbs for use in various dishes
• Assist with butchering meat, filleting fish, and handling proteins as needed
• Maintain proper storage, labeling, and rotation of all food products to prevent waste
• Ensure the prep station is fully stocked, clean, and always organized
• Work closely with chefs and line cooks to ensure smooth kitchen flow
• Follow recipe guidelines and portion controls to maintain consistency and quality
• Assist in the daily mise en place, ensuring all necessary prep is completed before service
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards, following all health department regulations
• Execute tasks assigned by Chefs and Kitchen Leadership with professionalism and enthusiasm
