Job summary

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group in Springdale, AR is seeking a Prep Cook to support our busy kitchen. You will handle prep tasks, portion ingredients, and ensure a smooth line during service.

This role emphasizes accuracy, a positive attitude, and teamwork. Candidates should be able to read simple cooking directions, stand for long periods, and work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of kitchen prep and line cook experience.
• Positive energy and teamwork.
• Able to read and understand basic cooking directions.
• Effective communication with managers, employees, and guests.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, holidays.
• Constant standing and walking with occasional stooping, kneeling, lifting.

Responsibilities

• Refer to Daily Prep List for each shift and complete opening and closing checklists and promptly report equipment, food quality problems, or product shortages to Chef.
• Prepares and portions a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
• Understands and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven flat top range, refrigeration equipment, and adhere to all DHEC regulations for cleanliness and sanitation.
