The Cheesecake Factory in Cerritos, CA is seeking a part-time Prep Cook to support a fast-paced kitchen and prepare hundreds of recipes using scratch cooking. You will follow recipes, prep ingredients, and collaborate with a back-of-house team to ensure consistency and high-quality dishes.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen experience in a food service setting is preferred.
• Proficient with kitchen tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Follow a prep list and work with speed and accuracy.
• Read recipes and measure ingredients precisely for 200+ items.
• Prepare ingredients with knife skills: chopping, dicing, slicing.
• Use methods like boiling, broiling, roasting, sautéing, frying, grilling.
• Operate ovens, fryers, broilers, grills, and mixers safely.
• Label, date, and rotate food using FIFO procedures.
• Maintain organization, safety, sanitation and cleanliness.
• Support team with clear communication and teamwork.
