Job summary

Geronimo Hospitality Group is hiring a Prep Cook in Beloit, WI. You will prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes, follow food safety guidelines, and work with the Executive Chef to ensure quality.

This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Experience in a non-fast food setting or culinary school, plus ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days), are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a non-fast food restaurant or culinary school training.
• ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to perform basic math operations in all units of measure.
• Ability to keep up with a fast paced environment.
• Position may require irregular hours including late nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Able to perform with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items according to recipes using correct handling procedures.
• Maintain proper par levels of production according to prep sheets.
• Measure and mix ingredients accurately and review recipe modifications with the Executive Chef.
• Taste test and take food temperatures following Serv Safe guidelines.
• Stock workstation and ensure food temperatures and quality are maintained.
• Keep workspace clean and sanitized after each shift and rotate perishable items.
