Job summary

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery is seeking a Kitchen Prep team member to prepare menu items in line with company standards and maintain a clean, organized kitchen. You will support food cost controls and safety procedures while contributing to a positive guest experience.

Responsibilities include following recipes, stocking and rotating supplies, and maintaining sanitation across the kitchen during all shifts. We value teamwork, reliability, and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Basic sanitation and safety knowledge can be taught in-house.
• Able to read recipes and portion ingredients according to standards.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cooking items according to recipes and standards.
• Maintains cleanliness of the kitchen, prep areas, and storage spaces.
• Reports to work in clean, proper uniform and practices good personal hygiene.
• Uses, maintains and cleans all kitchen equipment and storage areas.
• Stocks and rotates products to ensure shelf life and freshness.
• Ensures correct portioning and adherence to food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Follows FIFO (first in, first out) when preparing items.
