Job summary

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery is seeking a kitchen team member to prepare menu items, maintain cleanliness, and ensure quality and safety in a high-volume kitchen. You will assist with food preparation, portion control, and equipment handling while supporting the front-of-house and other kitchen staff.

Candidates should be able to work meals with strong attention to recipes, safety procedures, and guest satisfaction, in a fast-paced environment. This role is on-site at Perkins locations.

Qualifications

• Basic skills such as sanitation, safety and customer service can be taught in-house.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cooking items according to recipes and standards.
• Reports to work in clean uniform and maintains personal hygiene.
• Uses and cleans kitchen equipment and maintains storage areas.
• Stocks and rotates products to meet shelf-life standards.
• Ensures correct portioning and timing per recipes and prep procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness of kitchen, prep areas, coolers and storage areas.
• Follows proper safety procedures for food handling, rotation and storage.
• Assists other team members and front-of-house cleaning as needed.
