Job summary
SCA Health in Clifton, NJ is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp PACU role to support perioperative care across our facilities. You will assess patients before and after anesthesia, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and ensure safe recovery under established protocols.
Qualifications include RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS where applicable; prior preoperative or PACU experience is preferred. This on-site position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing and active RN license.
- BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS as applicable.
- Preoperative or PACU experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Promote the mission and values of SCA Health.
- Assess patients preoperatively and postoperatively per policy to evaluate cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and hemodynamic status.
- Interpret data from monitors and describe underlying pathophysiology.
- Develop and implement individualized perianesthesia care plans.
- Care for patients recovering from anesthesia across general, monitored anesthesia care, regional and local techniques.
- Perform safe medication administration and wound/tissue protection.
- Coordinate with the care team and provide hand-off reports with relevant patient information.
