Job summary

SCA Health in New Jersey seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp PACU to support perioperative care across the patient continuum. You will assess preoperative status, monitor during PACU, and collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to promote safety and comfort.

Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, current state licensure, and at least one year of PreOp or PACU experience, with BLS; ACLS/PALS as applicable. This on-site role offers competitive pay in Clifton, NJ.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice nursing; BLS/BCLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Promote SCA Health mission and values in perioperative care.
• Assess preoperative status and monitor PACU recovery per policy.
• Interpret monitors and identify deviations in patient status.
• Implement individualized perianesthesia plan and discharge criteria.
• Provide education and collaborate with anesthesia, surgery and nursing teams.
