Job summary

SCA Health is actively hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp PACU role in New Jersey. You will assess patients preoperatively and postoperatively, interpret monitor data, and develop individualized perianesthesia care plans.

The position requires current nursing licensure, BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and, if pediatric care is involved, PALS certification. As part of our team, you will promote our mission and values while delivering safe, evidence-based care across the perioperative continuum.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure to practice in good standing.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification required if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per policies.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe pathophysiology.
• Develop and implement perianesthesia plan of care.
• Manage recovery from anesthesia across different modalities.
• Provide patient education and involve family in care decisions.
• Document care completely and participate in quality improvement.
