Colonial Group in Washington state seeks a registered nurse to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across perioperative settings, ensuring outcomes meet organizational policies and professional nursing standards. You will develop and revise care plans, coordinate with the health team, document care accurately, and participate in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing, or higher, required.
• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, or compact licensure.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• PALS certification within 90 days of start date if assigned ASC services pediatrics.
• Core (FT/PT): Minimum one-year licensed RN experience in PreOp/PACU (i.e. ICU, ED).
• Licensed RN with no experience in PreOp/PACU and enrolled in Perianesthesia Academy with successful completion within 4 months.
• New licensed RN enrolled in the Perianesthesia Academy with successful completion within 4 months.
• PRN: Minimum two years licensed RN experience in PreOp/PACU.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and post-operative planning needs.
• Formulates a plan of care, including discharge planning, using assessment data and input from patient/family and health team.
• Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision.
• Evaluates patient and family response to care and revises the plan as needed.
• Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.
• Provides care based on the best evidence and participates in education and mentoring.
