Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Scheduling Associate for the Prenatal Diagnostic Center. This role schedules complex patient appointments and coordinates services to support clinicians and patient care, while maintaining a high level of service.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 8am–4:30pm at the Durham Outpatient Center. You will assist patients, staff and physicians, facilitate referrals, and uphold our commitment to extraordinary care and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year post-secondary education in business, medical assistant, nursing assistant, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated analytical, prioritizing and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a proactive self-directed manner.
• Efficient, confident and team-oriented approach to duties.
• Excellent communication and customer service to physicians, patients and other stakeholders.
• Experience with scheduling or registration systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete complex scheduling of multiple appointments for one patient’s appointment and/or services.
• Provide clerical support related to scheduling and coordination of services and procedures.
• Assist patients, staff and physicians per established scheduling standards.
• Coordinate internal and external referrals, ensuring patients attend appointments and notes are shared as appropriate.
