Job summary

Black Desert Resort in Southern Utah is seeking an Experienced Cook to support the daily kitchen operations at 20th Hole. In this role, you will prepare, cook, and plate menu items to established standards, manage your station during service, and contribute to a high-performing culinary team in a fast-paced, ultra-premium resort environment.

Placement as Cook II or Cook I will be based on experience, demonstrated skill, and leadership capability.

Qualifications

• 2–6+ years of professional kitchen experience in upscale, hotel, or resort dining.
• Able to work independent service and maintain station ownership.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipes, portions, and presentation standards.
• Independently manage assigned stations during service based on experience level.
• Execute intermediate to advanced cooking techniques consistently and efficiently.
• Complete daily prep, station setup, and breakdown.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
• Support service execution during peak periods and assist other stations as needed.
• Follow FIFO, labeling, storage, and food safety procedures.
• Identify and report equipment issues, shortages, or safety concerns.
• Support training and mentoring of less-experienced cooks as appropriate.
