Job summary

Frontier Direct, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our clinic in McAllen, Texas. You will work closely with PCPs to provide quality care, perform vitals, labs, ECGs, phlebotomy, and assist in procedures, helping members navigate their care.

This role values empathetic communication, strong organization, and experience with EHR/EMR systems. A minimum of 2 years' MA experience and BLS certification are required, with opportunity for professional growth in a supportive healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Experience in a clinic setting.
• Experience caring for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
• Proficient with ECG/EKG, phlebotomy, IVs and injections.
• Experience with EHR/EMR systems.
• Active BLS certification or ability to obtain.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Adaptable to process and technology changes.

Responsibilities

• Educate members on using Frontier membership.
• Work with paired PCPs to provide care to assigned patient panel.
• Coordinate provider needs for patient care to set up success.
• Coordinate with outside service providers (imaging, labs, or specialists).
• Perform vitals, lab testing, EKGs, phlebotomy and IV procedures.
• Assist providers with in-office procedures.
• Welcome members to the clinic and reassure them.
• Follow up with members to ensure care and that you"got their back" in the system.
• Customize member experience via phone, text, and email.
• Restock exam rooms and manage inventory; keep lab organized.
• Represent the facility at community events and health fairs.
• Personal cell phone is required for communication.
