Job summary

Frontier Direct is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical care and patient engagement in a fast-paced healthcare setting in Austin, TX. You will work with PCPs to coordinate care, perform vitals, EKGs, phlebotomy, IVs, and assist in-office procedures.

The role requires at least 2 years of MA experience in a clinic, strong communication, and proficiency with EHR/EMR systems. Onsite work with comprehensive benefits and a focus on patient experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Experience working in a clinic setting.
• Experience providing care to all ages, including pediatrics.
• Proficient at performing ECG/EKG, phlebotomy, IVs, and injections (SC/IM). Onsite skills assessment required.
• Extensive experience with EHR/EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Educate and empower members on how to use their Frontier membership.
• Work with paired PCPs to provide care to assigned patient panel.
• Coordinate provider needs related to patient care to set up success.
• Coordinate with contracted outside service providers (imaging, labs, specialists).
• Perform vitals, phlebotomy, IVs, and injections.
• Assist providers with in-office procedures for smooth patient care.
• Welcome members to the clinic and reassure them during care.
