Job summary

Frontier Direct Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our clinical team in Texas. You will work with paired PCPs to provide high‑quality care for an assigned patient panel and support the patient care workflow throughout the clinic.

The role involves performing vitals, ECGs, phlebotomy, IV procedures, and assisting with in-office procedures. You will engage with patients by phone, text, and email to personalize their experience and ensure follow‑up care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Experience in a clinic setting.
• Experience caring for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
• Proficient ECG, phlebotomy, IVs and injections; onsite skills assessment required.
• Experience with various EHR/EMR systems.
• Active BLS certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Educate and empower members on using their Frontier membership.
• Collaborate with paired PCPs to provide care for assigned patient panel.
• Coordinate provider needs to support patient care and outcomes.
• Coordinate with imaging, labs, or specialists as needed.
• Perform vitals, phlebotomy, ECGs, IVs, and in-office procedures.
• Assist providers to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.
• Greet members and reassure them as they enter the clinic.
• Follow up with members to ensure ongoing care and support.
• Communicate with patients by phone, text, and email to customize experiences.
• Restock exam rooms and manage inventory; maintain clinic cleanliness.
• Represent Frontier at community events and outreach programs.
