Job summary

Frontier Direct, LLC is hiring a Medical Assistant for our Austin clinic. The role supports patient care, assists providers, and coordinates with PCPs and external labs. Onsite duties include vitals, EKGs, phlebotomy, injections and more.

The candidate should have 2+ years MA experience, be bilingual (Spanish/English), and proficient with EHR systems. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Experience in a clinic setting.
• Experience caring for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
• Proficient with ECG/EKG, phlebotomy, IVs, and injections; onsite skills assessment.
• Extensive experience with EHR/EMR systems.
• Active BLS certification or ability to obtain.
• Bilingual Spanish/English.
• Adaptable to changes in process and technology.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Educate members on using their Frontier membership.
• Work with paired PCPs to care for assigned patients.
• Coordinate provider needs for patient care success.
• Coordinate with outside service providers (imaging, labs, specialists).
• Perform vitals, lab testing, EKGs, phlebotomy, IVs.
• Assist with in-office procedures for smooth care.
• Welcome members and reassure them in clinic.
• Follow up to ensure patients feel cared for.
• Communicate with patients by phone, text, email.
• Restock exam rooms and manage inventory; keep clean.
• Represent the clinic at community events and health fairs.
