Job summary

Frontier is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our clinic and support patient care across multiple tasks. You will assist with vitals, phlebotomy, ECGs, injections, and in-office procedures while coordinating with providers and labs to ensure smooth operations.

You’ll engage with patients directly by phone, text, and email, help educate members on benefits, and contribute to a welcoming, well-organized practice environment. Bilingual Spanish/English is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Experience working in a clinic setting.
• Experience providing care to all ages, including pediatrics.
• Proficient at ECG, phlebotomy, IVs, and injections.
• Extensive experience with various EHR/EMR systems.
• Active BLS certification or ability to obtain.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English).
• Adaptable to changes in process and technology.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Educate and empower members on how they can use their membership inside and outside of Frontier.
• Work with paired PCPs to provide quality care to the patient panel.
• Coordinate provider needs related to patient care for success.
• Coordinate with imaging, labs, or specialists.
• Perform vitals, lab testing, EKGs, phlebotomy, and IV procedures.
• Assist providers with in-office procedures.
• Welcome members to the clinic and ensure they feel cared for.
• Conduct follow ups to ensure patients feel supported.
• Communicate with patients by phone, text, and email.
• Restock exam rooms and manage inventory; keep the clinic organized.
• Represent the clinic at events and outreach programs.
• Use a personal cell phone for team communication as needed.
