Leevers Supermarkets, Inc. is seeking a Meat Cutter in Colorado Springs to support the Meat Manager in day-to-day operations. You will cut, prep, and display meat products while ensuring high quality and adherence to Leevers policies.

The role requires strong customer service, teamwork, and the ability to train others. Responsibilities include inventory upkeep, sanitation, proper labeling, cold-chain management, and potential multi-store assignment.

Qualifications

• Must have 18+ years of age and a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of meat-cutting experience with hand tools and power equipment.
• Comprehensive product knowledge and ability to train other team members.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and leadership abilities.
• Dependable and flexible with a uniform dress code.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and places meat cuts and products for display per policy to attract customers.
• Maintain inventory levels for meat products and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with city codes, health regulations, and weights & measures.
• Breaks, cuts, boning, makes chorizo, and grinders meat as required.
• Ensure freshness and high product quality; maintain sanitation standards.
• Use knives and power equipment to cut and package beef, pork, and poultry per policy.
• Ensure displays and signs are updated and meat is merchandised to maximize sales.
• Rotate dated products and manage storage in display and cooler.
• Wraps, weighs, and prices cuts; labels packages according to COOL, USDA, and Leevers standards.
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat to maintain cold chain and quality.
• Maintain clean, safe environment for customers and employees; build positive relationships.
• May work in more than one store.
