Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.

• Two years of meat cutting experience with hand tools and power equipment.
• Product knowledge and ability to train other meat team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and places meat cuts and products in display counter per policy to look appealing to customers.
• Assist Meat Manager to maintain adequate inventory for meat products and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with city codes, health regulations, and weights and measures standards.
• Breaks, cuts, boning, makes chorizo, and grinds meat as required.
• Ensure freshness and high product quality.
• Use knives and power equipment to cut and package beef, pork, and poultry per policy.
• Keep displays, case signs updated and merchandise meat to maximize sales.
• Rotate dates per policy in display and storage areas.
• Wraps, weighs, and prices cuts; labels packages per COOL and USDA standards.
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat to maintain cold chain and quality.
• Maintain sanitation and a safe environment for customers and staff.
