Job summary

Pier Sixty-Six Resort in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a dedicated Server Assistant/Food Runner for the Pelican Landing outlet. You will greet guests, run food orders, maintain outlet cleanliness, and help ensure guest satisfaction.

You will contribute to a smooth dining flow and assist with bar and menu item updates as needed. Reporting to the General Manager, you will support restaurant operations and uphold safety and hygiene standards while delivering memorable experiences to our guests and

Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated individual.
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.
Strong work ethic and dedication to providing exceptional service.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English.
Must have effective communication skills.
Ability to implement and uphold service standards.
Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort.
Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to work under variable temperature conditions.

Responsibilities

Set and maintain tables according to established standards, ensuring they are clean and fully equipped.
Support servers by clearing and resetting tables promptly, removing used dishes and glassware.
Interact with guests in a friendly and courteous manner to enhance dining experience.
Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the dining area.
Coordinate table turnover with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff.
Assist with beverage service and delivering drinks to tables.
Deliver food to guests promptly and accurately according to standards.
Maintain cleanliness of expo stations, service areas, and dining room.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
Welcome and acknowledge guests according to resort standards.
Communicate effectively with kitchen, servers, bartenders, and management to ensure seamless service.
