Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a proactive Preconstruction Project Manager to bridge design and construction for industrial and commercial facilities. The role covers planning, scheduling, estimating and risk management across multiple locations in North America with up to 50% travel.

You will coordinate with design, procurement and construction teams, drive constructability reviews, and support 4-D visualization and site logistics planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent degree; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
• 5+ years experience in managing construction projects related to industrial and/or commercial facilities
• Experience with 3D Modelling software
• Field Construction Experience on active construction projects
• Effective communication and leadership skills
• Experience optimizing construction scheduling and sequencing

Responsibilities

• Support the preconstruction team on tasks including bid package development, scheduling, estimating, virtual design and construction modeling, and reporting
• Participate as a knowledge base for design constructability and sequencing plan
• Drive collaboration between stakeholders
• Lead planning efforts with design, procurement and construction teams to ensure timely flow of information
• Conduct constructability reviews during all design phases to align resources and schedules
• Support review of modularization and off-site manufacturing studies
• Support estimate and schedule development and recommend optimization opportunities
• Develop subcontracting and procurement strategies with construction and procurement teams
• Support development of 4-D visualizations
• Develop thorough site logistics plans including utility and offsite requirements
• Coordinate with Jacobs safety, quality, project services and technical services groups
• Prepare and maintain Risk Registers and Mitigation Plans
• Foster cooperative partnerships among client, contractor and stakeholders
