Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Steel Milling Machine Operator for 1st shift to set up and run lathes, mills, drills, presses, and CNC equipment according to blueprints.

You will follow process sheets, install fixtures, inspect parts with calipers and micrometers, and uphold safety and cleanliness. This role requires attention to detail and teamwork in a non climate-controlled shop.

Qualifications

• Requires average math skills and ability to read and comprehend English instructions.
• Must be physically able to lift, push, pull and position heavy components.
• Must be able to follow company policies and work scheduled hours.
• Must stand for an entire shift in a non-climate-controlled shop.

Responsibilities

• Follow production instructions from process sheets, blueprints, or supervisor directions.
• Install machine fixtures by aligning and securing dies, punches, or blades.
• Operate machines (lathes, mills, drills, presses, CNC) per specifications.
• Inspect finished work with calipers, micrometers, and gauges to meet tolerances and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and use PPE; assist in other areas as needed.
