Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc. is seeking a Finishing Equipment Operator for 1st shift to join our precision-focused manufacturing team. You will follow detailed instructions, set up fixtures, and run multiple machines while ensuring parts meet strict quality standards.

The role requires physical tolerance for heavy handling, adherence to safety policies, and reliable, consistent performance in a non-climate-controlled shop environment. Training provided for machining basics and measurement tools.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and comprehend English instructions and logs.
• Able to lift, push, pull, and position heavy items.
• Willingness to learn machining concepts and use measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Follow production instructions from sheets, blueprints, or supervisor.
• Install and align machine fixtures and dies.
• Operate machines (lathes, mills, drills, presses, CNC) per specs.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers, gauges to meet tolerances.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow PPE rules.
