Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking skilled Machine Operators to join a precision-driven team that produces mechanical power transmission components and custom forgings. You will set up and operate machines, follow blueprints, and inspect parts to ensure tolerances.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability in a non-climate-controlled shop. Candidates should be capable of lifting heavy items and standing for long shifts while following company policies.

Qualifications

• Must read and comprehend English instructions and logs.
• Able to lift and maneuver heavy items safely.
• Willing to work scheduled hours and follow timekeeping rules.
• Able to stand for an entire shift in a non-climate-controlled shop.

Responsibilities

• Follow production instructions from sheets, blueprints, or verbal directions.
• Align and secure dies, punches, blades, or fixtures for safe operation.
• Set up and operate lathes, mills, drills, presses, and CNC machines per specs.
• Inspect finished products with calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure tolerances.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with PPE and safety guidelines; use crane or buddy system.
• Assist in other duties as needed.
